”My classical acoustic guitars are built in the Hauser/Torres tradition which features a bracing pattern that delivers a wide tonal range. I select my materials based on tonal qualities and build each instrument to have excellent sound characteristics and playability. I hand craft each instrument on Bainbridge Island, Washington.
All of my tonewoods are well-aged and stable. I pay particular attention to the quality and aging of my top and brace wood. The European spruce I use is always 8-10 years old. My current supply of Englemann and Sitka spruce was cut between 1979 and 1981.
All my Concert, Recital and Parlor classical guitars, ukuleles, and other instruments are french polished. I can, if requested, apply oil varnish. I do not shoot any finish.
All classical concert, recital, and parlor guitars come with a TKL black double-arched hard case. Cedar Creek custom case upgrade available (see case).
My Concert Guitars are built in the Hauser/Torres tradition. They are full bodied guitars offering the professional player a responsive, reliable and elegant concert instrument.
Concert Guitars
My Recital Guitars are developed from the “Bream” 1973 Jose Romanillos. The slightly smaller body combined with my version of the Romanillos 7-fan, open harmonic bar bracing produces an instrument of great flexibility and charm.
Recital Guitars
My Parlor Guitars are based on an 1864 Antonio Torres parlor size guitar. The Parlor models are smaller in stature compared to the Concert and Recital models, but have an amazing sound quality that compares favorably with much larger instruments.
